About Me
With over 14 years of pastoral experience, Dr. Scott Tey is a dedicated leader in missional practice, focusing on intercultural engagement, discipleship, and community transformation. Holding a Doctorate in Intercultural Studies from Biola University, he specializes in cross-cultural communication, social anthropology, and leadership, equipping both clergy and laity to participate in the mission of God.
As a pastor in Singapore since 2008, Dr. Tey has spearheaded initiatives that embody incarnational living, including migrant worker ministries, young adult discipleship, community outreach programs and church planting across multiple countries. Through partnerships with international churches, nonprofit organizations, and business sectors, he has fostered holistic engagement in diverse cultural contexts, demonstrating a deep commitment to integrating faith into everyday life.
In addition to pastoral work, Dr. Tey has contributed to theological education as an adjunct instructor, developing curricula in cultural anthropology and servant leadership. This academic background, combined with practical ministry experience, has enabled him to equip believers for mission through discipleship, leadership training, and contextualized evangelism.
Dr. Tey’s approach to missional practice is rooted in biblical theology, particularly the "missio Dei"—the understanding that God is actively at work in the world, and the church is called to join Him. This conviction drives his efforts in forming contrast communities, fostering spiritual transformation, and integrating faith with vocation. With expertise in equipping believers for mission in post-Christian and pluralistic societies, Dr. Tey continues to inspire and mobilize individuals to embody the gospel in their families, workplaces, and communities. Dr. Tey resides in Singapore.
